Tour the web site for more information including this year’s program.
The Society is a registered charity whose objects are to promote friendship and understanding between the peoples of Britain and Spain through knowledge of each other’s customs, institutions, history, and way of life. It is a non-political organization, and membership of the Society is open to people of any nationality who have an interest in and a love of Spain and her culture.
We hold our meetings in Javea at the Parador hotel. Many of the members are based in the Javea area, both residents & non-residents, though a significant number of us come from the surrounding towns and villages. Most of us are retired British nationals who enjoy learning about the culture and country we live in, in a sociable and friendly setting.
There is an elected committee which draws up a yearly programme of talks and activities with the help and suggestions of members. The social side is important to us, so after each bi-monthly meeting we organise a meal at a local restaurant, which must be booked in advance, through details given in the quarterly newsletter. We are always interested to hear of possible speakers and venues for trips, so if you have any ideas or suggestions email our secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org
